Acrylic

Architectural or decorative Slumped Acrylic is most popular in the "green tint” which gives its intrinsic glass look.

It is easily fabricated to create complex forms and enclosures.

Slumped Acrylic textures are available in the following:

  Blow
  Dreamtime
  Ocean
  Rough
  Sandstone
  Stormy

Ocean is the most popular texture.

Dreamtime the only texture specifically designed for applications requiring a flatter profile. This texture is ideal for partitioning. We offer custom designed textures created on request. Non-standard textures require an extended manufacturing period to allow for pattern production. Slumped Acrylic can be manufactured in High Impact or UV protected substrate for projects that require it. This is not standard stock line but is available upon request.

Sizes

Slumped Acrylic is available in thickness’ of:
10mm / (3/8"}
6mm / (1/4”)
4.5mm / (3/16")

The standard sheet size is 2800mm / (9ft 2”) by 1800mm / (6ft).

Weight

The following is the nominal weight of Slumped Acrylic per m2:

(3/16”) 4.5 mm 5.43 kg/ m2
(1/4”)   6.0mm  7.24kg/ m2
(3/8”)  10.0mm 10.4 kg/ m2

External & High Impact

Slumped Acrylic has 8 times the impact resistance of glass. By using a high impact substrate we can increase the impact resistance to 250 times that of glass.

Slumped Acrylic can be manufactured in High impact or UV protected substrate for projects that require it. This is not standard stock line but is available upon request.

Partitioning

The new enlarged sheet is designed specifically for the partitioning market as a better alternative to glass.

Fixings

The "floated" or “suspended” look in stainless steel is the most aesthetically pleasing fitting for Slumped Acrylic. The fixing shown can be modified for use on masonry, blockwork, both marble and granite and plaster walls. The fitting is adaptable to take one or two sheets of Slumped Acrylic.
