The rigidity and toughness of ABS offer excellent impact and abrasion resistant properties. The material is able to withstand inorganic salt solutions, alkalis and acids. ABS is typically used for internal applications. ABS has a resin additive that makes it fire retardant and UV properties, which makes it suitable for outdoor applications. ABS sheets are available in a textured surface describes as “Haircell”. This surface offers the advantage of hiding any fine scratches.
