Acrylic sheets are widely used highly versatile plastics. Acrylic can be used in many cases because of its outstanding weatherability, long lifespan, excellent clarity and can be recycled easily. Acrylic sheets are available in many colours, tints and surface textures such as frost or non reflective.
Acrylic is extensively used for signs, displays, laboratory parts, boat windows, shopfittings, decorations, and glazing. Acrylic sheets can be manufactured cast or extruded. Both methods offer slightly different mechanical qualities.
Cast Acrylic
The high surface quality is achieved by casting against glass. It has long term weather resistance with no colour discoloration allowing 92% transmission of light.
Extruded Acrylic
Extruded acrylic has a more consistent thickness than cast acrylic, however it has a limited range of colours and thicknesses.
Perspex® is a brand name for acrylic. It is a tradename of Lucite International and is polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) acrylic sheet which is manufactured from methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA).

Availability Acrylic sheets:
- Size (mm): 2440 x 1220, 2490 x 1580, 2490 x 1880, and 3050 x 2030 (Only for clear and opal colours).
- Thickness (mm): 1.5, 2, 2.8, 3, 4.5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, and 50.
- Note: the thicknesses above refer to clear acrylic. Tinted Acrylic is stocked up to 10mm and all the colours are stocked in 3mm.
- Note: Thicker clear acrylic blocks can be made up to 150mm thickness.
- Colours can be made through order for special projects minimum order quantity applies for colour matching.
