PLEXIGLAS® Pool & Aquarium Windows

PLEXIGLAS® Pool & Aquarium Windows is one of the world‘s most precious and versatile plastics. The high quality acrylic is approximately 17 times stronger than glass, 50% lighter, more impact resistant, far safer on impact, optically superior, offers 20% more insulation and is far more versatile thanks to bonding, thermoforming and annealing techniques.

PLEXIGLAS® does not yellow visibly - PLEXIGLAS® sheets will show no visible yellowing for 30 years.

  • PLEXIGLAS® retains high level of transparency.
  • PLEXIGLAS® retains its combustion behavior.
  • PLEXIGLAS® retains its fire behavior even after 30 years of weathering.

Unlike conventional gluing of panels which just uses a surface glue, bonding is a process of altering the chemical structure of the acrylic, using a bonding agent and then temperature controlling the reaction speed and time. This process ensures that the bond line is as strong as the rest of the acrylic panel.

Thermoforming is a manufacturing process where the raw sheet is heated to a pliable forming temperature and then formed to a specific shape in a mould.
This process is used to create tunnels and curved panels, along with other interesting shapes.

Annealing acrylic is the process of slowly heating and cooling an acrylic panel to relieve internal stress on the panel and resetting internal chemical bonding
structure. This process ensures that the entire panel is structurally sound. This process is typically used in conjunction when undertaking a chemical bond.
