Polycarbonate sheets offer the most suitable clear medium for the safety in the workplace. Allplastics Engineering can provide a range of Clear Polycarbonate brands including Lexan, Palram, Safeguard and for a variety of industries including Food, Materials handling, Mining, Engineering and assembly lines; where OH&S regulations require processes or machinery to be guarded for the safety of workers. Polycarbonate UV grade is 250 times stronger than glass, can be easily cut and machined. It is virtually unbreakable and covered by a warranty from the manufacturer. This makes it the preferred choice of engineers when designing guards for machinery.

In applications where the guards are constantly being cleaned and are subjected to constant wear Allplastics provides Mar Resistant Grade Polycarbonate which has a special coating on both sides of the Clear Polycarbonate to minimise guards and barriers being easily damaged or marked. The Lexan MR10 brand is available in thicknesses ranging from 3mm to 12.7mm.
Allplastics can provide CNC Routered shapes to match your drawings or your broken guards. Our experienced Fabrication personnel can bend or construct chutes, guards, boxes or covers for a diverse range of applications.

For situations such as curved lathe guards or surrounds we can supply thin guage Polycarbonate which can be cold bent and secured by a Frame. In addition to Clear Polycarbonate guards Allplastics can also fabricate Opal (off white) Polycarbonate where visibility is more important than clarity or yellow High Density Polyethylene for even higher visibility.

Polycarbonate Ballistic Grade mar-resistant sheets have a unique multilayer construction which allows it to withstand physical attacks as well as gunfire. It offers multiple levels of protection ranging from certified containment glazing to level 3 bullet resistant material. In case of an attack it will not "spider web" or spall.

Pebble Finish and Textured Surface Polycarbonate is an ideal option in applications where the structure needs to camouflage scratches which might be visible with standard clear acrylic or standard clear polycarbonate glazing sheets. The pebble finish also provides privacy in situations where required. In addition the pebble finish can be used for customised office chairmats providing a more ergonomic and durable option.

Allplastics stock and cut a wide selection of clear Polycarbonate tubes from 6.3mm OD to 127mm OD. In addition we can supply custom made sizes for many types of projects. The PC tubes have an excellent impact strength, higher service temperatures then PMMA (Acrylic), good UV protection and very good light transmission. Polycarbonate rods are stocked in a variety of diameters.
